What happens to a fee when a programme does not run, or a student withdraws.

What if the programme does not run?

If we cancel an intake, the fee is returned in full. That is our decision and therefore our cost — the student is not asked to accept a credit for a later date instead, though they may choose one.

What if I withdraw before it starts?

Withdraw before the first session and the fee is returned, less any materials already issued to the student. Materials that have not left the store are not charged for.

What if I withdraw partway through?

The hours already delivered are charged for, and the balance of the programme is returned. The calculation comes off the attendance register, so it reflects the sessions actually taught rather than the calendar.

What is not returned?

A programme completed is not refundable on the basis of the outcome afterwards. We are paid to teach the hours and to record them accurately, and we do not promise what a certificate will produce in the labour market.

How is it paid back?

By the route the fee arrived by, once the register has been checked. We would rather check the register first and pay the right figure than pay quickly and reopen it.
